The Life Purpose Institute is committed to empowering and supporting individuals and groups to create joyful, meaningful, and fulfilling purpose driven lives and careers. Our mission is also to train coaches throughout the world who hold this same vision and adhere to a purpose driven life. They learn the value of a purpose driven life, and teach others how to achieve a purpose driven life.
A Purpose Driven Life Creates Higher Purpose
Achieving purpose in life helps you to serve others by providing coaching, consulting and training. We believe each person is unique, special, and capable of achieving their Higher Purpose through a purpose driven life.

I spent many years of my life being confused about what I wanted to do and lacking a purpose driven life. I had worked as a social worker for the Health Department, worked as a mental health counselor at a mental hospital, worked as a career counselor at a non-profit career counseling agency. I loved helping people but none of these jobs felt quite right, and a purpose driven life eluded me. I was frustrated because I am one of those people that wants change yesterday, and change with the clients I worked with never happened fast enough. The changes were often slow and people seemed stuck and confused. I was not living a purpose driven life and life’s purpose was eluding me.
I realized I was burned out and decided to leave the counseling profession for awhile. I ended up going into medical sales and training, working with equipment for pain and acceleration of healing.
During these three years I enjoyed my work but again … it something was not quite right. I didn’t feel the impact that a purpose driven life reveals. I kept working on myself, attending personal and spiritual growth seminars, seeking a purpose driven life. I kept praying, “Please, I know you have a special purpose for me. Please tell me what it is.”
One day I was sitting with a friend who was very confused about what he wanted to do in his next job, and how to find a purpose driven life. I spontaneously asked him some profound questions and he immediately became clear about what he wanted to do. He went out that week and got a job he loved!
I kept asking these same questions (the Life Purpose Process) to other friends and they too had amazing results. One day I did this process with a friend that is a therapist and he said, “You have got to do this work, people need this.” He invited me to join his practice and that is when my joyful journey began, and I know I was on the path to a purpose driven life.
After three months, I was swamped with work. I had to quit my now part-time work in medical sales and training and take this on full-time.
That was in 1984. I’ve now had the privilege of helping over 12,000 clients create more meaningful and successful lives by finding a purpose driven life. I felt I was blessed in being able to provide this special Life Purpose Process. My vision was not only to help people in my local area, but also to help people throughout the world discover a purpose driven life, and have a life they love.
I began traveling and teaching workshops all over the United States. It occurred to me that the best way to spread this work was to train people all over the world to offer it in their respective area. We’ve now trained people throughout the world in Singapore, Israel, Korea, South America, England, to name a few, and throughout the United States and Canada.
It’s been an amazing journey, one that constantly inspires and surprises me. Each person that I’ve trained has their own unique gifts, talents, and coaching style. They develop their own niche and specialty. There are coaches that work with youth, seniors, those in mid-life crisis, and those that help people with meaning and purpose. There are also Life Transition, Creativity, Spiritual coaches and many more. My path is now one of guiding and supporting coaches who have a special contribution to make to help other to realize a purpose driven life.
